One system for accounting and ERP — built for anywhere, VAT-first for the UAE & GCC
Glount is being built by a small team that got tired of watching businesses stitch together an invoicing app, a spreadsheet, an inventory tool, and a separate VAT process — and losing hours reconciling all of it every month.
The idea behind Glount is straightforward: accounting, invoicing, customer management, inventory, expenses, financial reporting, and tax compliance are all connected in real business operations, so the software that manages them should be connected too — one ledger, one source of truth, with AI removing as much manual work as possible along the way.
The core accounting and financial reporting engine is being designed to support both IFRS and US GAAP, so it's built to work for businesses anywhere — not tied to one country's rulebook. Tax and VAT compliance is different by nature, since it's set by each country's tax authority, so we're rolling that out region by region, starting with a deep focus on the UAE and wider GCC, where VAT and e-invoicing requirements are evolving quickly and most existing accounting tools treat them as an afterthought. From there, we're building toward both a cloud application for teams who want to move fast, and an on-premise version for organizations that need to keep data on their own infrastructure.
This website is our first step: a public, continuously updated home for what we're building, why, and how to get involved before launch.
Principles guiding how we build
Built for real finance work
Every module is designed around what invoicing, bookkeeping, and tax teams actually do day to day — not a generic feature checklist.
Global core, regional compliance
The accounting engine is built for IFRS and US GAAP reporting so it works anywhere; VAT and tax modules layer on top region by region, UAE and GCC first.
Compliance-first
Tax and VAT handling isn't an add-on; it's designed into the core ledger from the start, beginning with UAE FTA requirements.
AI as a co-worker, not a gimmick
AI is built to remove repetitive work — data entry, categorization, reconciliation — while keeping your team in control of decisions.
